Associates & Colleagues of Lakota R. Denton, P.A.
ASHEVILLE, NC – Attorney Lakota R. Denton, P.A. is awarding a $500 scholarship to students entering college. To qualify for the scholarship, the student must show an interest in attending law school after college and provide a written essay showing why they want to be a lawyer and how they believe they can help their community as a lawyer.
The essay must include:
- The reason the applicant wants to attend college and law school,
- What kind of law practice they are interested in,
- How they feel that being a lawyer can help their community.
The essay should be no more than 1000 words and should be mailed to Lakota R. Denton, PA no later than December 15th of the year before the students plans to attend college.
“I went to law school because I wanted to have the power to help people. In particular, I wanted to help people who may not know their rights and were vulnerable to being taken advantage of by those looking to make money off of their ignorance.” Attorney Denton is looking to help future lawyers who endeavor to help people in a similar way.
